Malaysia-China Business Council (MCBC) is organising the “Malaysia-China Business Council Charity Golf Tournament” (MCBC Charity Golf Tournament) to celebrate the 48th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Malaysia and the People’s Republic of China and to raise funds for the Malaysia-China Youth Exchange Programme. The event will be held on the 28th of July, 2022 (Thursday) at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club. The MCBC Charity Golf Tournament brought together 128 Malaysian and Chinese enterprises, organisations, donors, and philanthropists. in an effort to elevate poverty and provide aid to the B40 youths.
MCBC launched a Cheque Presentation Ceremony
today to acknowledge the contributions from major donors who have shown their
unwavering support to our noble cause of helping the underprivileged.
Datuk Richard Lee Say Tshin, a Director of
MCBC and the Organising Chairman of the MCBC Charity Golf Tournament, has
stated that the youths are the hope of the country and the future leaders of
the world: therefore, to nurture and help the youths is essential for the
prosperity of the country. In view of this, MCBC spared no effort in taking up
this responsibility and spearheaded the task to promote the growth of the
youths.
The handover of the mock cheques at the
ceremony symbolises the goodwill of these companies and the importance they
placed on the friendship between Malaysia and China. In doing so, they are
lending a hand to help the B40 youths move closer to their aspirations in life.
The MCBC Charity Golf Tournament is honoured
to receive sponsorships from reputable companies and organisations such as
Press Metal Aluminium Holdings Berhad (donated RM500,OOO), Gamuda Berhad
(RM50,OOO), Asia Pacific Investment Bank (RM50,OOO), Barrington Investment
(RM50,OOO), Yayasan TSLSC (the charity arm of 101 group) (RM50,OOO), CJ Century
Logistics Holdings Berhad (RM30,OOO), Orando Holdings Sdn Bhd (RM30,OOO),
United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd (RM30.OOO), China Enterprises Chamber of
Commerce in Malaysia (CECCM) (RM20.OOO), and many other generous donors.
In addition, we’ve received many in-kind
donation sponsors from Proton Holdings Berhad for sponsoring the Hole-in-One
prize of a 2022 Proton X70, BONIA Corporation Berhad for sponsoring major tournament
prizes, AEON CO. (M) Bhd and Ministry of Tourism, Arts. and Culture (MOTAC) for
sponsoring gifts, HHH Group Sdn Bhd (Langkawi PURE) and Fraser&Neave
Holdings Berhad (F&N) for sponsoring beverages, and many sponsors for
supporting our charity golf event.
On the day of the MCBC Charity Golf
Tournament event, 128 sponsors and golfers will be gathered together at the
green course of the KLGCC to celebrate the 48th Anniversary of the
Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Malaysia and the People’s
Repubfic of China. As the international gates of Malaysia and China are
gradually reopened. we must seize this opportune time to re-establish the
people-topeople connectivity between the two countries. to promote mutual
understanding and foster deeper educational and cultural exchanges for the
future seedling leaders of both countries. We hope that this exchange programme
and charity golf event will create a platform for the underprivileged youths to
discover their inspiration and appreciation to build a greater future for both
Malaysia and China!
